University Utara Malaysia LearningCare System has been set up for the implementation of teaching and learning processes using the e-Learning concept. This application provides instructors and student with a complete set of tools to enhance their teaching and learning process.

UUM LearningCare is a web-based fully integrated e-learning solution which provide members of the community with tools to develop, implement and share effectively the use of technology to improve their intra and inter-organizations learning process. Its major component consists of Portfolio (Courses) Management System, e-Learning Resources and LearninCare Portal System for outside users.

All users who have their accounts in this system will be able to subscribe to courses (portfolios) available in the learning resources. Portfolios may be in the form of courses, projects, tasks, clubs, communities etc. The portfolio owners have full capability to manage their portfolios from anywhere in the world. They may also assign other members to have certain roles in managing their portfolios.

Outsiders who do not have their account in the system may also join and subscribe to the portfolio available in the system by accessing via a dedicated portal system for outsiders (http://www.elearn.uum.edu.my)
